I’m happy to announce that Assassin’s Revenge has been awarded the Florida Book Award Silver Medal for Popular Fiction. This is a terrific honor, given the number of terrific writers who call Florida home.
Here are a few of the books I’ve read recently, or that I’m looking forward to, in the military/action category:
Into the Fire by Gregg Hurwitz. The Orphan X series is hitting on all cylinders in the most recent installment. Highly entertaining!
Hunter Killer by Brad Taylor. Pike Logan at his best. Brad really brings a true operator’s knowledge to his stories!
One Minute Out by Mark Greaney. An instant New York Times #1 bestseller. I haven’t gotten into the this one yet, but highly anticipated!
Savage Son by Jack Carr. The latest in Jack’s Terminal List series arrives this month. Another writer who has lived his stories.
I’m often asked how long it will be before we see The Perfect Assassin on the big screen. Trust me -- I’ve asked the same question myself! All the stars nearly aligned three years ago. The screenplay was ready, and SND/M6 studio was preparing the final sign-off for filming in Paris. As those who have read the book know, there are elements of terrorism in the story.
My newest book is called Cutting Edge, and I'd like to offer some insights as to how I developed the story. To begin, it's a bit of a departure from my usual "espionage thrillers." Some might call it science fiction, but I would argue that every bit of technology in the story either exists today, or will arrive in the very near future. I have only compressed the timetable.
